• A trademark is a designation of source or origin of a product or service and distinguishes it from other products or services.
• A trademark is always associated with goods or services -- inseparable.
• A trademark is always an adjective, that is, it always modifies a following noun or descriptive term.
• Trademarks can be more than words and logos:  word, letter combination not a word, personal name, logo, device, slogan, tag line, package design, sound, color, shape, & numbers.
