​​COURSE GUIDE 2024

Course 1: LIGHTING BASICS

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Learn basic lighting concepts, terms, technologies and types of fixtures, luminaires, applications and how to own the socket.

AUDIENCE: Anyone new to the electrical or lighting industry or needs a refresher on lighting concepts and technologies.

LENGTH: 1.5 Days​


Course 2: LIGHTING SPECIFICATION & DESIGN

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Learn how to specify lighting whether it’s for a remodel, retrofit or new construction including quality vs quantity, basic lighting design concepts, applications, and control strategies.

AUDIENCE: Anyone who has a basic understanding of the lighting industry and who is working with owners, architects, contractors, distributors, or end users to make solid recommendations on lighting systems and solutions.

LENGTH: 1.5 Days​


Course 3: LIGHTING CONTROLS ESSENTIALS

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Learn about lighting control strategies and deep dive into sensors, dimming, networked vs. standalone controls, and wireless technologies. This hands on workshop will allow you to program LEDVANCE control solutions.

AUDIENCE: Anyone who is involved in crossing BOM’s as it relates to controls, working on Valued Engineered control solutions or specifying control solutions.

LENGTH: 1.5 Days​


Course 4: AUDITING & RETROFITTING FROM START TO FINISH

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: How to get in the door, understand the key decision makers and influencers, customer metrics, create your elevator pitch, kwh rates, regulations, making solid recommendations when retrofitting either traditional or LED technologies, understand the customer needs as it pertains to controls, basic wiring, auditing, and LEDVANCE solutions.

AUDIENCE: Anyone who has a good understanding of the lighting industry and needs a little help understanding how to retrofit existing lamps and fixtures whether traditional or LED.

LENGTH: 1.5 Days​


Course 5: INTRO TO LEDVANCE

LEARNING OBJECTIVE: Learn everything you need to know about LEDVANCE from the foundation to how we differentiate ourselves in the market to resources, tools and products. Hands on exercises to fully understand LEDVANCE solutions like T-fit, TapTronic, TapSync, and deep dive into product solutions including solar and electric vehicle charging stations.

AUDIENCE: Anyone who is involved in selling or working with LEDVANCE products or needs to understand how to sell LEDVANCE products. End users, contractors, distributors, agents, architects will all benefit from this training.

REGISTRATION

Electronic registration will be opening shortly at www.ledvanceus.com under the training center tab. We do not charge to attend our courses but they are limited to 20 students plus four chaperones (reps, agents, etc.). Upon registration, you will receive a confirmation e-mail with instructions for booking travel.


VIP dates are available for groups of 10 or more. VIP training are events and or customized training. Dates are first come, first served; minimum 10 participants required. Event organizers are responsible for coordinating their own premium hospitality and entertainment. Please contact your LEDVANCE representative or sales agent to plan your event before booking.
