Standalone Controls
With a standalone control solution, each luminaire functions independently; they can’t be grouped or zoned. The luminaires are commissioned via a radio frequency remote.
OCCUPANCY DETECTION TECHNOLOGIES:
Microwave detection is part of our standalone family. It does not require line-of-sight. It works by emitting and looking for shifts in high frequency waves, and is a good choice for environments where heat cycles are irregular. Microwave sensors may be affected by blowing leaves or waving branches, keep this in mind when using in an outdoor application.
PIR (passive infrared) technology, another option in our standalone family, uses infrared radiation to detect motion through changes in temperature in the environment. It requires line-of-sight.
Ultrasonic detection is used in our network family. It works by sending out high frequency sound waves above the range of human hearing, and does not require line-of-sight.
Dual-technology motion detectors are very accurate, and use both PIR and ultrasonic technologies to provide reliable occupancy control in spaces where movement may be limited.
