Based on feedback from the market, they are focused on making the distributor and contractors’ lives easier, delivering industry-leading performance for the end customer, having more options for a wider range of applications, and the pride of the American worker. They include the only major LED portfolio made in the U.S.A. with U.S. and global parts, LED tubes that are more flexible with some dimmable and others able to work on various ballast types or direct wired, a single downlight that delivers different lighting options via a surface mounted switch therefore reducing the need to carry several different SKUs, and PAR LED lamps with the highest lumen output and efficacy. LFI, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, takes place May 8 – 10, 2018 in Chicago.

LED Lamps
Backed by over a century of lighting expertise, LEDVANCE has developed a quality SYLVANIA LED lamp portfolio that distributors and contractors can rely on. These lighting products are designed to help grow sales and satisfy end customers.
The SYLVANIA U.S.-Assembled Portfolio includes A-line, Globe, BR and PAR LED lamps made in the U.S.A. with U.S. and global parts, which supports U.S. jobs. This portfolio is an industry-exclusive because LEDVANCE is the only general lighting company to have a major LED lamp portfolio made in the U.S.A. with U.S. and global parts. Since the LED lamps are locally-produced, lead times can be shortened, minimizing inventory issues for distributors. They also are BAA (COTS item) and TAA compliant, opening the door to more opportunities.
The SYLVANIA ULTRA LED™ RT5/6 Commercial Series Select is a 0-10V dimmable downlight that allows the user or specifier to select via device-mounted selector switches from three color temperatures and light output levels. This means distributors can offer more options but without needing many different SKUs in stock.
The award-winning SYLVANIA ULTRA LED™ HO PAR LED Lamps offer the highest lumen packages (up to 4200 lumens) and the best lumens per watt in the industry with comparable lumen output and CBCP to traditional metal halide lamps up to 70 watts. Available in a 15° spot, 25° narrow flood and 40° flood with a universal input voltage (120-277V), the lamps are UL 1993 and UL1598 Listed as a retrofit kit, allowing users to bypass the ballast in traditional metal halide sockets.
SYLVANIA LEDual® LED T8 Hybrid Type A/B Lamps provide solutions for installations using existing T8 ballasts, or for eliminating the use of a ballast in any T12 or T8 fixture entirely. They are designed to be both ballast compatible and ballast-free, combining two reliable technologies in one. LEDual lamps can be installed directly into T8 fixtures with T8 instant start ballast and select (parallel wired) programmed rapid start ballasts for a plug-n-play solution. Alternately, if the use of the ballast is not desired, contractors can simply rewire the fixture to by-pass the ballast and operate the lamps directly on line voltage.
SYLVANIA SubstiTUBE® DuoTube LED T8 Lamps are a flexible solution for users that cannot access the ballast in their fixture or do not want to replace the ballast. DuoTube has a flexible design to work on various ballasts including select T12 magnetic ballasts and T12 electronic ballasts, allowing for upgrading T12 fixtures without having to change the ballast, therefore saving labor costs. These LED lamps also work on T8 Instant Start ballast, providing the option of using one lamp for mixed applications where lamps and ballasts may have been spot replaced.
The award-winning SYLVANIA LEDlescent™ T8 Ballast-Free portfolio will include versions able to be dimmed down to 10 percent. These LED lamps are an energy-saving alternative designed to replace traditional fluorescent T8/T12 lamps by bypassing the existing ballast. Engineered to operate directly on 120-277V, these lamps minimize labor and recycling costs. The patented built-in safety circuit prevents current from flowing through the lamp when only one end is engaged in the socket to reduce the risk of potential shock hazard due to improper use. In addition, installation can be done in under 5 minutes for a four lamp fixture. This can mean more profitability for a contractor if the job is quoted per fixture because they can install more fixtures in less time.
For applications benefiting from high CRI, LEDVANCE is unveiling a wide range of products including the high performing SYLVANIA ULTRA HD Clear and Frosted LED Lamps and the SYLVANIA ULTRA LED™ Commercial Series Square Retrofit. The LED lamps are ideal for ambient or general lighting applications in both residential and commercial applications. This lamp family offers an extensive selection of lamps using filament LEDs with A19, G25, and B10 lamp shapes in a warm white 2700K color temperature and 90 CRI to ensure good color definition. These LED lamps meet the standards for both California Quality specifications and ENERGY STAR v2.1 requirements. The 8/10” LED recessed 0-10V dimmable downlight creates high performing white light optimized for new construction or retrofit applications. The retrofit has a 90+ CRI for excellent color rendering, integrated white trim, white baffle reflector, and metal conduit adaptor for direct replacement. It is UL 1598 Listed and Classified for stand-alone and retrofit applications and is suitable for dry, damp and wet locations.
LED Luminaires
With its expanding SYLVANIA LED luminaire indoor and outdoor portfolio for residential and commercial applications, LEDVANCE is extending its retrofit ability for lighting projects year after year in breadth and in depth. Based on market research, LEDVANCE is on track to be the fastest growing suppliers of LED luminaires in North America, with the portfolio doubling every year since launching in July 2016.
SYLVANIA Architecture Light Luminaires and SYLVANIA Canopy Luminaires are ideal for illuminating building exteriors, outdoor corridors, walkways and stairwells. The Architecture Light Luminaire offers both up and downlight illumination options or just downlighting, and has multiple mounting capabilities. New versions of the extremely durable IP66 Canopy Luminaires can be easily installed in tight ceiling spaces and are available in four wattages/lumen packages, two color temperatures, round and square shapes, and two finishes.
Ideal for retail, manufacturing, warehouse, office, education and low bay applications, SYLVANIA Strip Luminaires offer a snap fit for quick and easy tool-less access, and are end-to-end linkable for customized run lengths. They can be surface or suspension mounted, are 0-10V dimmable down to 10 percent, and are offered in two lengths and three wattages/lumen packages and color temperatures.
Designed for quality, performance and ease of use, SYLVANIA Indoor and Outdoor LED Flex Light Kits offer a complete solution for residential and small business lighting needs, such as around decks and patios, behind TVs, under cabinets, and along coves and borders. The plug and play kit has a light strip that conforms to the contour and shape of nearly any object and is available in three color temperatures and two and three lengths, depending on the type. It is easy to install via the mounting tape or clips and screws included, and the kit also has an AC adapter or power cord and connectors. The outdoor rated strips come in a version that can be cut to customize the length, and a version that is a direct high voltage plug-in and can expand up to 164 ft. (50m). The outdoor strips can be used in all seasons. They are cool to the touch, and have a low profile design and ultra-low power usage.
