​Wilmington, Mass. – LEDVANCE, the maker of SYLVANIA general lighting in the United States and Canada, is showing at LIGHTFAIR® International (LFI®) how its “Passion for Lighting” is resulting in new smart innovations in its industry-first SYLVANIA SMART+ Filament and Outdoor lines that are easy to install and use and are great for residential and small business applications.  They include new form factors of the HomeKit™-enabled SYLVANIA SMART+ Bluetooth® Filament LED Lamps and ZigBee® versions as well.  This offers more stylish options for adding retro lighting of the past with easy wireless controllability of the future.  The company is also showing the new full color, Wet Rated SYLVANIA SMART+ ZigBee PAR38 Lamp and SYLVANIA SMART+ ZigBee Outdoor Pathway Light that both offer full color and tunable white illumination.  These help contractors better meet the needs of end customers who want easily controllable, beautiful light inside and outside.  In less than two years, LEDVANCE has transformed from a manufacturer predominantly of traditional lamps to an independent, dynamic and globally active lighting company with one of the most comprehensive LED portfolios for general lighting.  LFI, the world’s largest annual architectural and commercial lighting trade show and conference, takes place May 8 – 10, 2018 in Chicago.

After the successful launch of the industry-first HomeKit-enabled SYLVANIA SMART+ Bluetooth Clear Filament A19 LED Lamp earlier this year, LEDVANCE will be expanding with additional form factors (ST19 and G25) and Vintage versions of all three with amber glass.  The company will also be offering the first SYLVANIA SMART+ ZigBee Clear Filament LED Lamp family with ST19, G25 and A19 lamps.  Both families offer on/off/dimming functionality, deliver 650 lumens making them a 40W incandescent replacement, and have a 2700K color temperature and 15,000 hours rated life. 

LEDVANCE was the first major general lighting company to launch a smart outdoor lighting product with the Gardenspot.  Now, the company is continuing to break new ground with the new full color, Wet Rated SYLVANIA SMART+ ZigBee PAR38 LED Lamp and Outdoor Pathway Light, giving even more ways for contractors to deliver easy to install and use, wirelessly controllable lighting.  With a 20,000 hours rated life, both offer on/off/dimming functions and millions of color options, and are color temperature tunable between 2700-6500 Kelvin for end customers who prefer soft white, bright white and/or daylight white.  The PAR38 LED lamp is great for general lighting, recessed downlights, and track lighting, and as a wall washer.  Perfect for border, landscape and entrance lighting, the SYLVANIA SMART+ ZigBee Outdoor Pathway Light contains one 28-foot string of 5 lights with a 20W rated power supply and is expandable up to 70.5 ft.

SYLVANIA SMART+ lighting products can be controlled by smartphone or tablet, as well as through voice integration.  The ZigBee versions are compatible with major smart home automation systems that use a ZigBee compatible home automation hub, while the Bluetooth versions work with Apple HomeKit which means no hub is required and they can be controlled by Siri®.
