Two SYLVANIA LED products were selected for the 2018 IES Progress Report - the SYLVANIA ULTRA LED™ RT5/6 Commercial Series Select Downlight and the award-winning SYLVANIA LEDlescent™ T8 Ballast-Free portfolio.  The mission of the IES Progress Committee is to keep in touch with developments in the art and science of lighting throughout the world and prepare a yearly report of achievements for the Society.  Acceptance is based on an impartial judging process used by the committee to evaluate each submission on its uniqueness, innovation and significance to the lighting industry.     

 

The HomeKit™-enabled SYLVANIA SMART⁺ Bluetooth A19 Filament Soft White Lamp and SYLVANIA ULTRA LED™ RT5/6 Commercial Series Select Downlight were selected as Architectural SSL Product Innovation Award (PIA) winners and recognized in the August issue.  The Architectural SSL PIA recognizes innovative LED and solid state luminaires and fixtures on the market, while also spotlighting the players behind the components that make up these light sources.  With judging and evaluation of products and systems from a distinguished panel of 14 designers and lighting specialists skilled in product evaluation, theArchitectural SSL PIA program awards manufacturers based on attributes, qualities, functionality and/or performance beyond industry standards.

 

BUILDINGS selected the SYLVANIA Vapor Tight as a 2018 Money-Saving Product winner.  This product was a member of an elite group of 67 products showcased in the June 2018 issue of BUILDINGS and online at .  Finalists were evaluated by the BUILDINGS editorial staff for the money-saving qualities they offer to building owners and facility managers in areas such as energy efficiency, water savings, and maintenance.  BUILDINGS Media serves more than 74,000 commercial building owners and facility managers in North America.  Its magazine, newsletters and website provide information that helps subscribers and users make smarter decisions about managing, operating and renovating their facilities.<

 

Commissioned annually by Design Journal, ADEX is considered one of the largest architecture and design award competitions in the industry, recognizing winning entrants at Platinum, Gold and Silver award levels.  An anonymous panel of professionals and specifiers representing a cross section of their respective design industries conducted all judging and voting for the ADEX competition, awarding points that determined Platinum, Gold or Silver award status.  Points were awarded in a variety of sub-categories and a minimum number of points were necessary to qualify at each level.  LEDVANCE won ADEX and Best of 2017 Awards for 17 SYLVANIA LED products in its SMART⁺, Lamp and Luminaire portfolios.  The following SYLVANIA LED innovations were honored with ADEX and Best of 2017 awards:
